Hot Summer Nights
Hot Summer Nights is a street festival of art, music, and has been an annual tradition for almost 30 years! This free event takes place on three Wednesday evenings: July 16th, 23rd, and 30th from 6:00 - 9:30 pm.
The Amazing Block Printing Extravaganza (Session 1)
Learn the art of linoleum block printing in this two-part series.
On the first day (7/19), you’ll learn to transfer your image to a block and carve it. You may bring a design with you (make sure it's mirror-image!) or create it in class on a 4×6 or 5×7 block.
On day two (7/26), you’ll ink your block and print on your choice of paper or fabric. Dress for a mess!

Join Nevada County Arts Council and the Grass Valley-Nevada City Cultural District for the August Creatives Meetup as we celebrate the opening of Nevada City's newest and quirkiest arts hub - Wonder Docent!
The self proclaimed accomplices to your curiousity will share their vision for the space as they continue to curate a thoughtful collection of art supplies, knick-knacks and doodads, arts classes and creative events designed for the fringes and fellow oddballs of our creative community.
As always, our meetups are a safe-space and a great way to get connected, find inspiration, and learn more about the many ways to get involved. See you there!
