Friendly Faces: Junk Art Maskmaking with Jori Jori

Join local mixed media and soft sculpture artist Jori Jori for a brief exploration into Junk Art. In this three-hour class, you'll learn about the concept of mask-making and hear from Jori about her own process, including the role of textural elements and the use of recycled materials in her work. Jori will then lead you through the process of making your own junk art mask from scratch.

This workshop focuses on being playful, saying "yes and" to what we create, and working with what we already have. Learn to turn off your inner critic and create without judgement while developing your mask's unique character. Each student will walk away with a mask of their own creation.

The Amazing Block Printing Extravaganza (Session 2)

Learn the art of linoleum block printing in this two-part series.

On the first day (9/13), you’ll learn to transfer your image to a block and carve it. You may bring a design with you (make sure it's mirror-image!) or create it in class on a 4×6 or 5×7 block.

On day two (9/20), you’ll ink your block and print on your choice of paper or fabric. Dress for a mess!
